![]() ![]() So the good news is I can play Blu-ray discs again for 30 days, the bad news is it's going to cost me between £60 and £80 for a permanent fix for a problem CAUSED BY SONY !!! Particularly galling when I'm unemployed and can ill afford it. It didn't work either, whenever I inserted a Blu Ray disc WinDVD Pro reported "media type not supported" but a downloaded trial of PowerDVD did work. I downloaded a trial version of WinDVD 2010 Pro from ( ). I think it's a compatibility problem with WinDVD and the Sony Blu-ray drive firmware (Vaio update had recently updated this too). ![]() When trying to playback a BD-J, I get the following:įurther info 2: 52f187167f2154808cecbf7913d89905įurther info 4: 1c3ed353f23c65f73b520d4b1cca5abeĪ hardware video error occurred which prevents Microsoft Windows from working properly ![]() Is the problem going to be solved any time soon? Now, I have serious issues playbacking BD-J discs.ĭoes anybody know whether there is a patch available to download? With the previous version, everything was perfectly fine. I've recently installed the WinDVD 8.8.0.154 update using Vaio Update on my Vaio VGN-AR71ZU. To add on your issues, allow me to post the following - unfortunately, this is not a solution for the issue =(. ![]()
